15 pet PIGS have been found roaming the streets of Las Vegas and are looking for a home tonight. Pigs are smart and have the intelligence of a 3-year-old child. The Animal Foundation gets pigs from time to time.

FBI in Las Vegas has arrested a convicted killer who escaped from a Nebraska work-release correctional center 2 weeks ago.
He was sentenced 30-50 years in the killing of a 16-year-old. 

Casinos have the best Camera systems with photo recognition and other high tech equipment. Nobody should hide out in the city.

A Veterinarian who surgically implanted heroin in puppies was sentenced to six years in prison.

Saturday night the VEGAS Golden Knights lost 3-4 to the Columbus Bluejackets. VGK is sitting comfortably in the 3rd place in the Pacific Divsion with a record of 31-22-4. A 3rd place is a good place to be because that's a playoff spot. Vegas was the favorite at -1.5 goals or -200 on the Moneyline with the Total at 6 Goals. 

Home Las Vegas

Thinking about moving to Las Vegas the median home price right now is $300,000 dollars and that's just shy of the all-time peak before the Recession of 2008 hit. Prices have been going up since 2012 and construction is booming again. 7,000 single family homes were for sale in December. The last time the price hit $300,000 was in September 2018 but rising interest rates slowed sales in November and December. Home sales for the past year were big mostly from thousands of people moving from California due to High Taxes and Fires.

LAS VEGAS is the 28th most populated city in the United States. Vegas was settled in 1905 and officially was incorporated in 1911. The population is around 650,000 with the rest of Clark County which includes North Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City brings the Population to just over 2 million people. The city bills itself as The Entertainment Capital of the World also called Sin City and is one of the world's most visited tourist destinations. 

The VEGAS 500 - INTRO

Welcome to THE VEGAS 500 a blog about Las Vegas, NV which is actually part 2 of this project. Part 1 will be a YouTube Channel also called THE VEGAS 500 recorded from Las Vegas but will cover Everything and Anything. This blog will be 500 words or less and the YouTube Channel will have videos 500 Seconds or less. That comes out to just over 8 minutes.
Most people start off with the introduction first but I rather do it for my third Post. 
As I'm typing this it is 2:43AM Wednesday the Temperature in VEGAS is 33.3 degrees and this will be scheduled to post for Thursday at Midnight. They say New York is the City that never sleeps. No, Las Vegas Got that hands down as people who live here work the normal 9AM-5PM or 12PM-9PM, 3PM-11PM, or 11PM to 7AM. Most people have Saturday and Sunday off but a large percentage of people could have Sunday and Monday or Sunday and Tuesday, or Wednesday, or Thursday off. Split Days which is better than just having ONE.  I go to sleep between 3:30AM - 5:00AM every day. 

The 10 Million Dollar Super Bowl

The NEVADA Sportsbooks WON $10.7 Million on Super Bowl 53 almost setting a NEW record profit. 
This was the third time in four years they made 10+ million or more on one BIG GAME. They also have WON 27 out of the last 29 years. The play of the day was taking The New England Patriots -2.5 and the UNDER 56 total score. 

The next BIG event for the sportsbooks is MARCH MADNESS. A College Basketball Tournament with the top 68 teams. The 2018 WINNER was Villanova who beat Michigan 79-62 in the Championship game. 

UNLV Won in 1990. 

LAKE MEAD

Lake Mead is a lake on the Colorado River just miles away from LAS VEGAS Strip. It is the largest reservoir in the United States formed by Hoover Dam. The dam provides water for 20 million people in  Arizona, California, Nevada, and Mexico.
